As we all know, Valentine's Day is the occasion when you're supposed to show the one you love just how much you love them. But that doesn't look the same for everyone. While some want the full prince-and-princess fairy tale treatment, others prefer more practical mementos. But how does a supermodel like to celebrate this holiday? We chatted with 2020 SI Swimsuit cover model (and newly engaged) Kate Bock as part of her partnership with hard sparkling water brand Pompette to find out.

Plan an activity together.

"I'm less of a gift person and more an acts-of-service person for Valentine's Dday," says Bock, who got engaged on January 30 to NBA star Kevin Love. "So I thought it would be fun to take the Pompette and create some themed cocktails that we can serve at our wedding. I’m still working on a name for it."

Bock, who partnered with Pompette because she's always searching for natural, clean, better-for-you alternatives, even revealed a recipe she has in the works.

Ingredients:

6oz Pompette Lemon Mint
fresh lemon
sprig of rosemary

Directions:

Fill glass halfway with ice. Pour 6oz Pompette Lemon Mint. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Garnish with Rosemary.

Classic flowers and a handwritten love note are a must.

It might seem like the easiest gift, but flowers are just what the 33-year-old wants. "I am a big fan of flowers," she says. "My significant other is not as much of a fan because they don't last forever. But I think you can't go wrong with flowers. They make me feel special and are so romantic."

Pair those flowers with a love note, and Bock will simply swoon. "I always ask for a love letter," she says. "That's all I want. I just like words. I just want to hear what you feel on paper so that I can read it whenever I want."

Make something sentimental.

As far as what Bock likes to give as a Valentine's Day gift, she tends to go practical yet sentimental. "I am definitely with someone who is more practical," she says. "He's more of an ”'acts of service” love language type. So a foot massage goes a long way or just anything that can make his day easier. I like to sneak something in that's sentimental, like his grandma's chocolate cake that he loves. I want him to have his favorite meal on that day."
