- Judging by her shots for Italian magazine MUSE, I'd venture to guess that Carolyn Murphy still gets carded—at 40. It's her discontent with the new generation of models that is far more age-appropriate, telling the mag:
[In the early 90s] we were part of a generation that functioned on feeling — music, art and fashion all went hand in hand, one inspired the other, relationships were real. Nowadays, it all seems so corporate and calculated...nothing seems authentic. Models' careers last a half a minute and there isn’t much personality because all their noses are in their phones or iPads [and] all they worry about is their next selfie and self-promotion.
