Working in retail can be a real thankless job, especially during the holidays. Although 2020 has been a crazy year, this Black Friday weekend was no different than past years for me. Running around filling orders, helping customers, & long lines at the register, were all par for the holiday weekend madness.
So imagine my surprise to find out that my #SISwimSearch2021 sisters decided to dedicate Saturday to honoring ME!! I received messages and IG stories all day thanking me for supporting all my sisters and for all that I do for them. They even made a hashtag #kudosforkimberleigh I was so overwhelmed and on the verge of tears several times, and wouldve broke down if I werent busy at work. Im the kind of person that doesnt do things to get things back in return. I do what I do because I know what its like to not feel supported, to feel like you dont exist, or are being overlooked. I dont just root for the underdog, I root for EVERYONE!!
I want to thank everyone for all the love and support you showed me this weekend. There are not enough words or enough "thank yous" to express how incredibly grateful I am to each and every one of you. Whether Ive talked to you every day since Swim Search started or just added you, the fact that you took the time to make me feel appreciated, was truly something special. This community is truly what sisterhood and women's empowerment are all about. I love you all and thank you so much! Youre truly the best #FeelGoodFuel 💖
