What happens with 2016 SI Swimsuit cover model Ashley Graham meets comedy queen Ellen DeGeneres? A whole lot of laughter, that's for sure!
The bombshell brunette visited The Ellen Show recently to talk all things SI Swimsuit and discuss her role as a body and beauty activist.
On the definition of a plus size model: "I've always been told that plus size starts at a size 8 and goes up to a size 16. So the majority of this room is considered plus size. Hope you feel better about yourselves. (laughs) That's the problem. We're telling women that they're plus size but for me I just like to call it 'curvasexalicious.'"
On being healthy: "It's a little scary on both spectrums of weight. It's scary...We have to promote women to be healthy at every size, as long as they're getting off the couch and moving their bodies."
On the power of words: "When somebody's telling you that you're too pretty, you're too ugly, you're too fat, you're too skinny, constantly...you start to believe it. You start to think that every word somebody says that it's true. And the moment that I realized, you know what I don't have to fit into a certain standard, I don't have to be a certain kind of woman...that's when my confidence came out."
