What better place than the Mondrian Hotel to be SI Swimsuit’s home base for Miami Swim Week?! The Mondrian is far from your average boutique hotel experience. The unique establishment is located in the upscale neighborhood of West Avenue—just minutes away from the beach. The Mondrian is situated on the beautiful waterfront of Key Biscayne Bay, which granted us breathtaking views of the marina and downtown Miami. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we felt like we were in our own little oasis.

The front desk staff at the Mondrian made the check-in process seamless. The vibrant atmosphere and welcoming, informative staff gave us a wonderful first impression. Through the entirety of our trip, the service matched this level of professionalism. The service was intimate, the staff was reliable, and accommodations were personalized!

We are pleased to report that our rooms were as stylish as they were comfortable, a characteristic difficult to achieve—definitely Instagram worthy. The thoughtfully-chosen decor and spacious layout contributed to our room’s charming aesthetic. Imagine a quaint cottage mixed with an art deco type-of-vibe.

The Mondrian has a wide array of amenities. The spa upholds a progressive approach to wellness, with a menu of services that cater to the mind, body, and soul. Their eclectic mix of nourishing services include CBD wellness therapies, body wraps, deep sea massages, chemical peels, oxygen facials, manicures, waxes—the list continues! The Mondrian also has a kick-ass fitness center that overlooks Biscayne Bay, exhibiting a gorgeous view while we tended to our wellness. The center provides mindful meditation classes, moonlight yoga, pilates, and steam and sauna rooms that left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

The Baia Beach Club is one of Mondrian's biggest attractions. Baia’s luxurious cabanas are where we spent most of our time. With cozy loungers and shade promising umbrellas scattering the perimeter of the pool, you are guaranteed a marvelous sunbathing spot. Plus, the DJ seemed to be queuing up all of our favorites.

The cuisine at the Mondrian is Mediterranean-inspired. The avocado tuna tartare, lobster salad and creamy truffle flatbread are must-haves. Complement these dishes with the Mondrian’s famous Miami Spritz for the perfect tropical snack.

The Mondrian is in the ideal location for hotel-goers. World-class restaurants, boutiques and trendy nightlife scenes are all within an arm’s reach of the oceanfront hotel. Pura Vida—a three-minute stroll from the Mondrian—quickly turned into our favorite lunch spot. The restaurant offers fresh salads, nutritious wraps, açai bowls, and superfood smoothies perfect for a midday pick-me-up.
