Abby Dahlkemper Stuns, Pairs Her Leg-Baring Black Mini With an Oversized Tan Blazer

Between fashionable moments and her return to the pitch, the professional soccer player has had an epic fall.

After spending the 2022 NWSL post-season and the beginning of the 2023 regular season on the sidelines due to a back injury and subsequent surgery, San Diego Wave FC defender Abby Dahlkemper has made a triumphant return to the pitch. She played her first game since the injury at the beginning of August, and, in the time since, has helped lead her team to the top spot in the conference and the earning of the NWSL Shield, the award given to the team with the best regular season record.

Her most recent Instagram photo dump encompasses much of that series of events following her return, but—perhaps more importantly—it displays her incredible style, as well. The first photo in the carousel featured a glamorous night-out look, consisting of a fabulous leg-baring, high-neck little black dress, which she paired with an oversized tan blazer with black buttons to match. Dahlkemper rounded out the look with a slouchy black handbag and a pair of black slingback heels.

“Lately ❣️,” she captioned the sweet recap, which—in addition to the fashionable moment and recent soccer achievements—included a few snaps of her adorable dogs.

“Oh she fancy fresh! 😍,” fellow pro soccer player Ali Krieger wrote.

Alongside her fellow Wave teammates, Dahlkemper will be taking to the pitch again on Nov. 5, battling it out against Seattle’s OL Reign in the semi-finals of the NWSL playoffs. We will be cheering on the 30-year-old and her teammates as they vie for a championship appearance.
