She took the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards red carpet by storm in her interpretation of the popular style.

With the Metropolitan Museum of Art having just announced the theme of next year’s coveted gala and the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards having taken place mere days ago, we’ve got fashion on the brain, and we just have to talk about it.

For one, the CFDA red carpet was, understandably, overrun with the most iconic outfits of the year to date. The collection of unique dresses and sets that graced the event was perhaps even more impressive than any one September fashion month runway—which is high praise.

While we could never pick a favorite from among the stunning looks that we saw the evening of Nov. 6, there are certainly a few that caught our attention. Among them was American model Ashley Graham’s incredible sheer dress. She joined the popular trend in a high-neck black-and-white polka dot gown, with the perfect amount of texture for twirling and swishing around in. Underneath, she donned a visible black bodysuit, and on her feet, she wore a pair of black strappy high heels.

@cfda’s in custom @dvf 🤍,” Graham captioned an Instagram post from the evening, giving credit to the fabulous designer label, Diane von Furstenberg, behind her beautiful dress.

“DVF Woman ❤️,” the brand’s official account wrote in the comment section. “@dvf proud to be one! ❤️,” Graham replied.

“Forever stunning Ashley !!! ❤️,” one follower gushed.

“Absolutely gorgeous! ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” another added.

The 36-year-old’s night out look was one of the best takes on the sheer dress trend that we’ve seen of late—a totally unsurprising move from the ever-fashionable SI Swimsuit model.
