Happy Plants Make Happy People

These online plant stores deliver right to your door!

A few months ago I moved from a shoebox of an apartment with absolutely no natural light to a nice sunny space with massive windows and tons of sun. One of the most exciting things about this move was the ability to put together my own indoor garden (cacti died in my old apartment, that's how dark it was). On the daily search for my newest plant children, I have found some amazing sites that do plant delivery as well as some subscription services because one can ever have enough plants. Besides the decorative lift, plants scrub the air of pollutants and recycle carbon dioxide. Can’t you just feel the air getting cleaner in your home already? Check out some of my favorite sites and become the plant parent you were always meant to be.

The Sill: This site is so visually appealing and their minimalist pots are perfect for your mid-century modern space. I am obsessed with The Sill and currently have four of their plants/pots scattered throughout my NYC apartment (and I’m on the hunt to acquire more). They have a “Best for Beginners” subscription service, so no matter how novice you are at plant life, you can fill your apartment with no-fuss greenery.

Bloomscape: Another favorite of mine, I am currently on the waiting list for their Bamboo Palm (I’ve been eyeing it for months as a focal point for my living room). The best part is their plants are shipped in the most incredible box, so you can be sure it will arrive intact with not a speck of soil out of place. They also have pet-friendly options so you can make your home inviting for both you and your pup.

Modern Sprout: Modern Sprout sells items that make perfect gifts like hydroplanters (for the most incredible indoor herb garden), seed starters and garden jars. The latter are mason jars filled with everything you need to grow fresh herbs right on your window sill. Say hello to fresh basil for a perfect summer caprese.

Leaf & Clay: Succulents are many individual’s first step into the world of plants and Leaf & Clay has you covered. You can purchase in packs or individually and add some nice decor around your space requiring very little maintenance. I’d say that's a win-win.

Local Garden Centers: If you want to shop locally, hit up your local garden center. Many are still open during these times and you can call ahead for pickup or curbside delivery. If you live in NYC, head to 116th street and visit the Urban Garden Center. They have an incredible selection of plants and it is one of my favorite places to go on a sunny, weekend day for all my urban garden needs.
