Any interesting historic notes about Brush Creek Ranch?Saratoga’s natural hot springs have been drawing people’s attention for centuries. It was a destination for Native Americans and eventually American frontiersmen as they pushed westward in the late 19th century. It became a hub for settlers, trappers and loggers, like the Sterrett brothers, who would later settle in the land we now call Brush Creek Ranch. In 1884, these brothers would build the original homestead with logs cut, skid and hauled from the adjacent area that is now part of Medicine Bow National Forest. Their spirit of hard work, recreation and adventure is still felt in every square inch of the property. As a luxury guest ranch, visitors will find homage paid to these ideas all around them, meshed seamlessly with a plethora of modern amenities. Brush Creek Ranch was maintained as a working cattle ranch, and the property was acquired in 2008 by Bruce and Beth White.

Any interesting historic notes about Magee Homestead?
Magee Homestead was originally founded as the “TZ Ranch” (which is where the TZ Cabin name comes from, the largest guest cabin at Magee Homestead). It began as a cow camp and hay-producing ranch in the late 1880s. The cabins that are situated on Magee Homestead are original to that timeframe and were restored and the cabin names—named after all the original homesteaders of the land—come from the property title work from that timeframe.
