What's Cooking with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models

An Apple Pie Cinnamon Role Never Hurt Anyone, Right?

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models are just like all of us, right? Well, they are when it comes to spending more time in the kitchen due to the pandemic. In fact, according to an Acosta report, 55% of household shoppers said they are eating at home more now. That means more opportunities to whip up new dishes and enjoy some foodie favorites. So what exactly is on the menu these days for some of our stars? Check it out below.

Homemade Za’atar Focaccia for Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid not only tackled motherhood during quarantine welcoming her daughter in September, but she also nailed baking. The new mom made Za'atar Focaccia, writing on Instagram, "A quarantine goal of mine was to start making bread," citing that it was an easy no-knead recipe. She also made peppermint cookies, among other delectable bites.

Giant Zucchini for Aly Raisman

The Olympian should also get a gold medal for her gardening skills. Aly Raisman showed off her green thumb over the summer by posting a photo of a giant zucchini she grew. The squash was so big, it ran the length of her arm and caused the gymnast to solicit recipes from followers. Typical responses were zucchini bread and stir fry.

Veggie-Packed Hummus Sandwich for Camille Kostek

The 2019 SI Swimsuit cover model learned to get creative with a classic lunch item during quarantine: the sandwich. In the fall, she revealed how to make her "favorite Cedar's sandwich of all time," including avocado, spinach, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil and Cedars Foods hummus. "I could eat every day for the rest of my life," she posted. "Healthy, yummy goodness at your fingertips with no baking needed."

Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls for Chrissy Teigen

We all know cookbook author Chrissy Teigen is a whiz in the kitchen. So it’s no surprise that she'd whip up more than one new recipe during the pandemic. The 2014 SI Swimsuit cover model made everything from maple glazed orange chicken to mini hot dogs and crusty quiche-filled baguette bites. One of our favorites was the apple pie cinnamon rolls she crafted while developing recipes for her next book. She made the dough and apple pie filling on separate days before combining, rolling up and baking. The result? A dessert that left followers drooling.

Greek Salad for Christie Brinkley and Nina Agdal

Former SI Swimsuit cover models Christie Brinkley and Nina Agdal enjoyed an outdoor picnic together last July (Agdal’s longtime boyfriend is Brinkley’s son, Jack), with Agdal spearheading the menu. The Greek feast included a salad using tomatoes from the garden which Brinkley raved about.
