Dakota Johnson Is Remarkable in Sheer Spider Web-Inspired Dress

The actress certainly channeled her ‘Madame Web’ character at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

Actress Dakota Johnson no doubt dressed to impress when she attended the Madame Web movie premiere in Los Angeles on Feb. 12. The film’s 34-year-old star opted for a jaw-dropping nude Gucci dress for the occasion, which featured a plunging neckline and intricate, web-like netting all over.

Stylist Kate Young opted to keep Johnson’s accessories simple to allow the dress to speak for itself. The actress wore a statement necklace, a few rings and opted for strappy black heels on her feet. Hair guru Mark Townsend styled the Fifty Shades of Grey star’s dark chestnut locks into a sleek blowout, while makeup artist Georgie Eisdell opted for dramatic lashes, luminous skin and a rose-colored lip.

Johnson showed off her impressive ensemble on Instagram on Feb. 13, including snapshots that showcased both the front and back of her dress.

“Just WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Tish Cyrus-Purcell gushed.

“She is the moment. 🖤,” the official Madame Web IG account added. 

“Oh no my husband is on this app 🤣🔥❤️,” Barbara Corcoran quipped of the bold and beautiful look.

“Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful ♥️♥️♥️♥️,” Melanie Griffith, Johnson’s mother, applauded.

Of playing the lead role in Madame Web, out in theaters today, Johnson told French fashion magazine L’Officiel that she enjoyed portraying a “relatable” superhero. 

“This film is a really fabulous departure for Marvel, because sometimes it’s amazing to have these other universes and galaxies doing unrealistic things in an unrealistic place,” she stated. “That can be escapism and really entertaining. Before Madame Web becomes Madame Web, she’s a paramedic and she is on the front lines; she is an everyday hero. So I just thought it was different. And I had never done anything like that.”
