Emily DiDonato Shares Her Top Beauty Secrets!
Being stuck inside has left me with way too much time on my hands. I’ve watched all of Netflix, cooked every low-carb recipe on Pinterest, and now I’ve found myself watching endless hours of beauty guru videos on YouTube. My favorite? Emily DiDonato. Who better to take beauty tips from than the face of Maybelline?
I’ve watched (and rewatched) her beauty tips video and I’m breaking down her top 7 for all of us. You can thank me later.
TIP 1:
Repairing serum! Emily recommends Biotherm’s Life Plankton Elixir Serum and we’re sold. This product will regenerate your skin and promote the cell renewal process. Make sure to use this product first in your skincare routine.
TIP 2:
Retinol. Retinol. Retinol. Use it every night to diminish the look of lines, sun damage and wrinkles. Emily uses a prescribed retinol, but Drunk Elephant’s A-Passioni cream will do the trick!
TIP 3:
MOISTURIZE! This is the most important step to NEVER skip no matter how tired you are or how many glasses of wine you’ve had. Morning and night: moisturize, moisturize, and more moisturizing. Try Emily’s picks: Josie Maran’s Whipped Argan Face Butter or Drunk Elephant’s Polypeptide Cream, or both!
TIP 4:
Remove every ounce of makeup daily because girl, that skin needs to BREATHE. Don’t rely on a few swipes of a makeup wipe (no matter how easy that is) and take two minutes to cleanse it all off. Emily uses a one step Jelly Cleanser by Drunk Elephant.
TIP 5:
You NEED a frozen face mask. Leave it in your freezer for those mornings you wake up feeling puffy. Toss it on for 10-15 minutes and voilà! PerfreCore has an affordable option available on Amazon!
TIP 6:
Pimples- we all get them and usually, at the most inconvenient times. Models are notorious for their dewey clear skin and Emily is no different, she recommends using Tea Tree Oil to dry blemishes out quickly!
TIP 7:
Dry shampoo is a girl’s best friend, but all those chemicals cannot be good for us. Luckily, Emily has the best hack- Cacao Powder. Not only is this a yummy addition to your smoothie but a natural way to absorb the oils in your dark hair.
