Kristen Stewart’s Plunging Tweed Dress Is an Edgy Take on Chanel’s Button-Up Sets
When we think of Chanel, we envision very upscale, buttoned-up styles. For New York Fashion Week, the brand hosted a party that brought all of the most fashionable out in their most elevated tweed sets, speaking to what we consider the brand ethos.
But Kristen Stewart isn’t one to stick to tradition. The actress is always bucking the norms. So, of course, when attending the Chanel Metiers D’Art Show in Manchester on Dec. 7, she put somewhat of her own spin on the typically ultra-classy clothing.
The brand is known for tweed, and as far as the material goes, Stewart did not stray. But, rather than donning a high-neck tweed dress and calling it a day, she added some personal touches to her outfit styling that were, unsurprisingly, very her. Her black-and-white tweed mini featured a unique, plunging neckline, which she accentuated with a series of chunky silver necklaces. She paired it with an appropriately edgy pair of black mid-calf leather boots, which gave the normally classy style a bit more of a streetwear feel.
Her take on the typically classic aesthetic is no surprise, really. Stewart has proven herself an expert at the edgy outfit again and again. She even posed in a similarly unique take on a classic Chanel look on a 2022 cover of Vogue Australia.
Needless to say, her take on Chanel is exceptional, and exceptionally her. We would expect nothing less of the Twilight star.
