At this point, the little black dress (LBD) is a wardrobe staple. No matter the season, a good black mini should always be in your rotation. During the summer, pair it with heels and leave a jacket behind. And, for the fall? Simply follow La La Anthony’s lead.

The television personality and actress took to Instagram on Oct. 16 to demonstrate just how to style a simple, signature LBD. As obsessed as we are, we knew we had to share the pairing for all of your future black mini dress needs this season. She paired her figure-hugging, high-neck dress with an oversized black leather jacket with white stripe detailing. To that epic duo, she added a pair of matching black-and-white leather knee-high boots.

“Winning team @prettylittlething 🏆,” she captioned the pair of photos, giving credit to the brand that supplied her with the fabulous jacket. She wore her dark brown hair in a half up-do and posed in her chic attire in front of an arcade basketball game.

In addition to being a perfectly seasonal way to style a black fitted mini, the outfit—led by the jacket, with “race edition” stitched on the sleeve—also demonstrated the glamour of what we’re calling “race car driver chic.” As it turns out, the style is not just reserved for the typical Halloween costume, but can serve as dressed-up streetwear, as well. But not just because we say so, but because Anthony proved it with her all-black ‘fit.
