Lindsey Vonn’s Backless Black Gown and Bright Red Lip Are the Picture of Class

She showed up to the ‘TIME’ Person of the Year ceremony in a fittingly fashionable outfit.

Lindsey Vonn has done it again. She made another red carpet appearance at one of the highest profile events of the year, and she didn’t disappoint where her outfit was concerned.

She stepped out for TIME’s Person of the Year event in an elegant outfit fit for the elevated occasion. Vonn wore an edgy black gown featuring a turtleneck and a glamorous open back. The former professional alpine skier paired the dress with a small dark red velour shoulder bag, a blonde head full of soft Hollywood curls and a bright red lip.

“Quick trip to NYC to celebrate the @time Person of the Year,” she wrote in the Instagram caption of a post from the night. “Congratulations to all of the innovators and dreamers who are changing the world: @taylorswift (person of the year), @sama (CEO of the year) and @leomessi (athlete of the year).”

“😍🔥,” fashion designer Vera Wang gushed of her look in the comments.

“Stunning 🔥,” a follower complimented the athlete.

“You look Amazing! 🥰,” another added.

“Wow wow wow,” one said.

In addition to being a glamorous look, the outfit made for a great seasonal style inspiration. We guess you could say a red lip makes any outfit fit for the holidays, but there was something special about Vonn’s sleek black gown and vibrant lipstick combo that made it particularly primed for this time of year. We’re taking notes and adding to our holiday fashion mood boards.
