If you’re like me, a $300 swimsuit is simply outrageous, but every once in a while it’s time to treat ourselves. Swimwear is such an intimate item to purchase so if you’re spending big, you want it to count.

Reviews are there for a reason, so use them! You want a piece that will fit your body perfectly. When I finally tried a luxury swimsuit I was shocked at the difference in fit - you really get what you pay for.

If you’re shopping on Net-a-Porter or Moda Operandi you’ll be bombarded with hundreds of expensive swimsuits of various styles. But let’s face it, we’re not all Hailey Baldwin who can afford the trendiest luxury items, so focus on those basic styles that will transfer from season to season. This may be the New Yorker in me, but I can’t stress enough how useful a luxurious black swimsuit is. It works for all occasions and with almost every cover up. Not into black?
