Guest Editor Olivia Ponton Shares Her Summer Essentials

This month SI Swimsuit will bring you tips, tricks and must-haves from leading experts and influencers in the beauty and fashion industry. Next up is Olivia Ponton, the rising star who has taken TikTok by storm with her relatable and uplifting videos. Ponton, who dreams to be in the next SI Swimsuit Issue, lives in her bikinis, so who better to tap for some summer essentials than her!?

Well, hello! It’s Olivia Ponton here! I am so excited to join Sports Illustrated Swimsuit this month as a guest editor. Today I’m sharing my list of summer essentials with SI Swimsuit! Tune in all month to get to know me more.

Starting off strong, I want to share my favorite tanning lotion because if you’re like me, then you want to look like a bronzed babe after a day at the beach. My favorite product for tanning during the summer is the Maui Baby Browning Lotion. I also really love their After Sun Tan Enhancing Lotion, because it really locks in your tan. It’s a must!!

Next, I love the Patrick Ta Major Brow Shaping Wax. I love the soap eyebrow trend and I haven’t found a product that is better than this. My eyebrows have gone through a lot of laminations, so I love how the Patrick Ta wax really locks everything in so it stays all day. Whether I’m at the beach or shopping with friends, I can always trust that my brows are staying in place.

Now, for my favorite bikinis. DUHHH!!! I would say my go-to brand for swimsuits right now is Frankies Bikinis. They have amazing bikinis that are great for tanning and water activities -- especially for surfing, when I need bikinis that will keep everything secure.

SUMMER IS THE BEST TIME FOR FRUIT! I love snacks, and I especially love fruit. My favorites are watermelon, strawberries, kiwi and PINEAPPLE. So so amazing. Fruit is always better in the summer. There is nothing better than taking a giant bowl of fruit with you to the beach. I usually store my fruit in a snack pack like the one below, which I’ve used since I was really young!

Lastly, I love to have a cute swimsuit cover-up. Living in Los Angeles, you can’t exactly wear a swimsuit out in the streets, which is very different from my hometown. I grew up in Naples, Florida, where it is totally acceptable to wear a swimsuit everywhere you go, the grocery store, a restaurant, you name it! Once I moved to L.A., I quickly realized that I needed to find a cute cover-up. One of my favorite stores to find cute cover-ups and swimsuits is 437 Swim.
