SI Swimsuit Models Reveal Favorite Shooting Locations

Travel is certainly one of the perks of this job.

We all know travel has been disrupted over the past year. Now as the world is beginning to open up again, we figured it would be fun to learn about some of our models' favorite shooting locations. Here the jet-setting women share their top spots and what they loved about them.

Kate Bock Couldn't Get Over Bali's Beaches

"Bali was amazing!” says Bock of her 2020 Swimsuit Issue shoot. “Almost crystal black sand on one side and white on another. Beautiful waterfalls and rocky rivers. Also, it's where I shot my SI Swimsuit cover. It's forever a favorite."

Lais Ribeiro Was Wowed by Costa Rica's Wildlife

"Going to Costa Rica was one of the best experiences I've had,” says Ribeiro of her 2019 SI Swimsuit shoot. “The beaches we shot on were absolutely beautiful, but we also got to explore the country, which I don't usually get to do. Costa Rica has a lot of interesting wildlife and amazing jungles; it reminds me of Brazil in some ways. I'll definitely be heading back there with my family once we can all travel again."

Jasmine Sanders Enjoyed Modeling With Elephants in Bali

"My favorite location was definitely Bali,” says Sanders about her 2020 Swimsuit Issue location. “I was able to shoot on gorgeous beaches and with the elephants! I was able to get fully immersed in the culture while shooting there."

Camille Kostek Loved Feeding Joeys in Australia

"My answer without hesitation is Australia, specifically on Kangaroo Island in South Australia -- this was a place I had dreamed of visiting and exploring,” says Kostek, who went Down Under for the 2019 Swimsuit Issue. “This lwas my rookie shoot and the location ended up being an extremely cherished place because it was the place where my SI cover was shot. This was my first time seeing a kangaroo, koalas and much more wildlife. On my adventure days after shooting, I got to explore the rock caves all around the island. There were more firsts on this trip like sandboarding and visiting the wildlife orphanage where I fed baby joeys and held a koala on my hip. So many memories I'll remember forever. I can't wait to get back!”

Haley Kalil Was in Awe of the Baths at Virgin Gorda

"Kenya was magical, but I still think the Baths at Virgin Gorda in the BVI are, to this day, my favorite shooting location,” says Kalil, who went to the Caribbean for the 2020 issue. “I've been blessed to see the world thanks to my job. But there's something so magical about being immersed in the power of nature. To see the massive cliffs and caves of the baths just lit a fire in me that I remember to this day. It is truly one of the most magical places I have ever been."

Myla Dalbesio Can't Choose

"There have been so many! The Maldives, Kangaroo Island, Seychelles, South Africa, Morocco. I could go on and on,” says Dalbesio. “I love to travel and see new places, so when a job takes me somewhere I've never been before, I'm so grateful. It's extra special when it's a place with a totally different culture and lifestyle. I like to step outside my box when I travel and expand my worldview. To be able to do it on a job is a huge bonus."
