Model Shannan Click was featured in the 2011 SI Swimsuit Issue after being captured by Steve Erle in a gorgeous, colorful photo shoot in Sentosa Island, Singapore. She was featured in the magazine twice that year, and double-dipped for a unique and flirty in-studio bodypainting session with photographer Stewart Shining and artist Joanne Gair, who more than proved her talents by creating a beautiful floral two-piece swimsuit with paint.

The 42-year-old San Dimas, Calif., native, who is best known for her four years walking the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, was scouted in Huntington Beach. She moved to Europe at the age of 18 to pursue modeling full-time, and has since appeared in global issues for Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure and Glamour. Click has worked with major fashion labels including GUESS?, Miu Miu, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior Cosmetics, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

“The best part [of modeling] is your world opens up. You’re around all of these creative people. I love the traveling, it’s a little exhausting, but going and seeing new places and learning the culture [is] fascinating” she gushed of her work in the industry. “It’s hard work. It’s not just about being beautiful. It’s about collaborating with everybody and knowing it’s a team. It takes a lot of energy and a lot of work.”

Today, Click is a mom to one daughter, Sage Lavinia, and a son, Cypress Night, whom she shares with her husband, actor Jack Huston. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in March 2022.

Below are six of our favorite looks from her 2011 photo shoot in Singapore.
