SI Swimsuit Favorite Lais Ribeiro is Back!

This mom rules the world, juggling intense modeling career and supporting autism awareness.

Lais Ribeiro started modeling in 2009 and was an instant hit. During her first runway season, casting agents swarmed to sign her and it wasn’t long before the Brazil native was strutting down New York catwalks like Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Michael Kors. In fact, the SI Swimsuit model was the most sought-after model in 2011, booking more than 50 shows in the spring/summer show season. Lais is most known for her long stint as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Even while being in demand, Ribeiro makes time for her son with special needs and openly supports autism research and awareness. She proves moms rule the world.

MJ Day: Why Lais?

Lais has an aura of effortlessness around her that acts as a magnetic force, making it difficult to look away. She is gorgeous, and on top of that, she is an incredibly hard-working mother whose energy brings so much joy to those around her. She uses her platform to spread awareness around autism and what it’s like to be a mother of an autistic son. If there is one thing we can do as a brand, it’s to empower individuals to speak up for what they are passionate about and Lais uses her reach and influence to do just that. Creating another outlet for Lais to share her message and celebrate her, for us, is a no brainer.

Tune in every day at 9 AM EST to see who will be gracing the pages of SI Swimsuit 2021! Follow @SI_Swimsuit to keep up with all the exciting news!
