Allow me to get just one thing straight. This Sunday there will not be a New York Super Bowl. Not in Brooklyn. Not in Albany. Not on Long Island. And certainly not in Times Square's "Super Bowl Boulevard." That's because Super Bowl XLVIII will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and while East Rutherford may be an ugly little borough, it's New Jersey's ugly little borough.

But even I, a proud Jersey Girl, recognize the marketability of a big game in the Big Apple, as compared to a big game "just off exit 16W." So when SwimDaily and Nina Agdal hit up Union Square to test the football proficiency of New Yorkers we expected a smidge more awareness of the region's first Super Bowl.

It seems that memo got lost somewhere in the Hudson River, though.
