Are mermaids real? Nina Agdal hits the streets to find out

Shell-shaped pasties and sequined can only be the Coney Island Mermaid Parade!

When we enlisted the help of Danish babe Nina Agdal to help us meet the cream of the crop at the 2016 Mermaid Parade, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. From glitter-encrusted human mushrooms to Mad Max-inspired mermen, if you can dream it up, we saw it. So how did we decide to capture the essence of the craziest day of the year in Coney Island? With a little Model on the Street action, of course!

Watch the video above to see Nina offer some costume critiques, learn about the tradition of going (almost) topless at the parade, and find out if mermaids really do exist!
