I don't think anyone knows the misery of the "wintry mix" quite like New Yorkers do.

Frankly, this city is an ugly place to be right now—unless, of course, you've headed to NYC Fashion Week. Then it's arguably the most beautiful place in the world. Case in point: Modelinia's Fashion Week kickoff party last night at MANON Restaurant & Lounge in the (still hip?) Meatpacking District, where guests included Julie Henderson, Genevieve Morton, Jessica Perez, Dominique Piek and newly minted Swimsuit muse Sara Sampaio, who forewent all laws of fashion parties and Jay-Z lyrics by wearing color. Not just a splash. An entire PANT (yes, the correct usage in the context of Fashion Week is "pant"). Sara, we're watching you, you sassy minx, you.

Also, if someone could help me ID the mystery dude with Dominique and Gen, Getty and I would appreciate it.

Anyway, it's back to the slush for me.
