Anna Sitar’s New PacSun Swimwear Collab Is Perfect for Summer

Los Angeles-based content creator Anna Sitar is known for her bubbly and positive personality, which has helped her amass more than 13 million followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The digital star, who went viral for her “I Don’t Want It” series, launched her first exclusive swimwear collection with PacSun on April 4.

ANNAXPACSUN offers one-pieces and bikinis, many of which are crafted with recycled materials. We chatted with the 27-year-old Michigan native about the brand new line and why partnering with the California lifestyle brand was a “no-brainer.” 

Sitar, who was very hands-on during the design process, drew creativity from the natural beauty of California, from the ocean to the water to the sky. She describes the line’s aesthetic as carefree and easy to wear.

“It’s inspired by Southern California, sunrise to sunset,” Sitar says of her swimwear collection. “When it comes to swimwear, I always want to provide this sense of empowerment. So, I wanted to make sure everybody knew that they were beautiful from sunrise to sunset, all hours of the day, and I wanted to create suits that really embodied that message.”

Her personal brand is all about confidence and spreading positivity, so during the design process, it was important to Sitar to pay attention to detail regarding quality and fit in order for consumers to feel as comfortable as possible in the styles. And best of all, the bikini tops and bottoms are meant to be mixed and matched for a custom look.

Each suit is named after an important woman in Sitar’s life, including her mother, sister and closest girlfriends. The Rachel is a scrunched one-shoulder bikini, while The Tezza is a sunset-inspired bandeau-style two-piece. Sitar’s personal favorite from the collection, The Elizabeth, is a white triangle-style bikini with a sweet yellow floral pattern. And The Jo, a fuschia underwire two-piece, is the suit that belongs in every woman’s swimwear wardrobe this summer, according to Sitar. 

“Every gal should have [The Jo] as their ultimate hot girl summer suit. It is stunning. It's this beautiful fuchsia with a shimmering finish on the material,” she says. “ … It feels like a confidence boost when I put that suit on. I feel like a heartthrob in it, so I feel like everyone will, too.”

Sitar shot the creative for the campaign herself, and her main goal was to present the collection through an empowered lens for her community. While she loves to accessorize her swimwear with a cute scarf around her waist or a jumpsuit as a cover-up, Sitar’s advice for rocking a bikini with confidence this summer is simple.

“The best accessory to any beach is a smile and having a good time and surrounding yourself with people who make you feel good in what you’re wearing,” she says. “Life is so short and you should be able to enjoy all the things that you want to enjoy. It’s not worth worrying about something as simple as the way you look because it’s all going to end up being things that you look back on, and I think that’s the last thing that you’ll think of when you have great memories.”
