Last year’s cover model Yumi Nu returned to the SI Swimsuit Issue this year for a stunning photoshoot in Dominica with Amanda Pratt. The model, musician and entrepreneur wore a number of incredible swimwear pieces while on location in the Caribbean, including several glamorous and futuristic looks. However, one of our absolute favorites is a strappy black one-piece by Bad N Bare that’s anything but your basic swimsuit.

“Shooting with a female photographer, shooting with Amanda Pratt, has been incredible,” Nu said while on location. “Woman-to-woman, you feel more comfortable to be vulnerable and try things and there’s just an understanding. Amanda really gets in the shot with you and gets in the water and gets down in the fishnet, she will do whatever it takes for the shot and for me, as a model, that means so much because it makes me motivated to get the shot.”
