Yumi Nu started singing lessons at age 12, was writing songs by age 15 and soon after was signed to the Dim Mak Records label. In May 2022 the model-musician released her second EP, Hajime, the same week that she landed on the cover of the ’22 SI Swimsuit edition, one year after her debut in the issue. Her music pulls from alt-R&B and indie influences.  

The New Jersey native made history in April 2022 as the first plus-size model featured on the cover of Vogue Japan and is an emerging entrepreneur in the fashion world. She launched Blueki in October 2022 after struggling to find ethically sourced plus-size clothing. Blueki’s mission is to provide anyone of any size with high-quality, timeless pieces that are made with care.
