Katie Austin Glistens in Her Hot Pink ‘Retro Aerobics’ Two-Piece and White Sneakers

The fitness coach is on a mission to recreate her mother’s exercise looks from the ’80s and ’90s.

When it comes to a good source of motivation for curating and building her brand and fitness platform, influencer Katie Austin hit the jackpot. The SI Swimsuit model is the daughter of Denise Austin, the professional fitness coach best known for her series of exercise shows and books on fitness and healthy living.

Her daughter has followed in those footsteps—in more ways than one. In addition to creating her own namesake fitness platform, marketed on creating “realistic workouts and recipes for your everyday lifestyle,” the 30-year-old also has a knack for recreating her mom’s signature workout outfits from the ’80s and onward.

In an Instagram post on Nov. 2, the former college athlete displayed her most recent mom-inspired retro outfit, a shiny neon pink sports bra and high-waisted briefs set, which she paired with classic white sneakers and ankle socks. With a full face of glam and her dirty blonde hair in a soft wave, the fitness coach perfectly mimicked a workout set that her mother rocked 30 years ago.

“Which @deniseaustin retro aerobics look should I recreate next?!” she captioned the cute reel set to the the tune of “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees, in which she posed and jumped around in front of the camera. 

“YESSSS!!! You can re create SOOO many…. LOVE this hot pink on you.. My Rock Aerobics cover!!!!! Xoxo,” Denise wrote in the comments, voicing her support for her daughter’s ’fit.

The recreation mimicked a similar early August Instagram post from her mother, who also recreated the same neon pink workout set look from the ’90s. In the post, she shared “then and now” photos of the look, featuring the same sports bra and briefs in both snaps.
