Leather is always a good idea in the fall and winter, but it’s a particularly great concept when a Formula 1 race rolls around. Or, at least, it was the fashion choice of the moment at this past weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix in Nevada.

Among those partaking in what we might call a race car chic style was Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, a 2023 SI Swimsuit rookie and founder of MWH. The workout and wellness leader brought all her best leather to the city and the sidelines of the F1 race on Saturday, Nov. 18.

For an evening by the race track, Wood-Tepperberg showed up in the most glamorous little black leather skirt and a pair of thigh-high patent leather boots to match. She paired it with a black turtleneck and a light gray leather racing jacket with black accents.

“Where the highs are high & the lows are low. But somehow it’s always a good idea. #1 tip when you come to Vegas, get the hell outside & leave the hotel. #vegas #F1 🏎️,” she captioned a series of Instagram photos from the weekend event.

“Fits !!! 🔥🔥,” three-time SI Swimsuit model Katie Austin complimented the series of looks in the post, which included the leather-heavy look and a black catsuit and embossed leather boots pairing.

“The over the knee boots tho 😍 love!!” another follower gushed.

All of her weekend attire was poised to make a statement, and Wood-Tepperberg succeeded.
