Brooks Nader was named one of four 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover models, making her fifth year with the brand the most memorable one yet. The Louisiana native was first discovered through the brand’s open casting call in 2019, when she was named winner of the Swim Search. She’s returned to the magazine ever since, and was photographed for this year’s magazine in the Dominican Republic, where she worked with photographer James Macari.

When the SI Swimsuit team crashed Nader’s photo shoot with Electric Picks last month to tell her she’d landed the cover, the model was at a loss for words.

“No, this is not actually happening, I don’t believe it,” Nader said through tears at the time. “I was honored enough to be in the magazine so I never thought that I would actually be on the cover. I don’t really even know what to say.”
