Robyn Lawley made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2015 after being photographed in Wyoming and returned to the magazine the following three years. She traveled to Malta in ’16 and Mexico in ’17, and in 2018, the Every Body With Robyn Lawley podcast host was photographed by Taylor Ballantyne for a powerful in-studio project called “In Her Own Words.”

The 33-year-old began modeling at 16 and continues to be featured in brand campaigns such as INIKA Organic and in magazines like Cosmopolitan.

“When I found out about my third year, I was super excited. I love the team. I love the people. It’s a lot of fun,” Lawley said at the time of her 2017 photo shoot with Ruven Afanador. “I’m all for a powerful shot. These are the images that are going to last the test of time.”

In some of the photos, Lawley, who occasionally shares fun and delicious vegan recipes on Instagram, was captured dancing. The final products may look effortless, but the behind the scenes interview revealed it was a little awkward and “humiliating” at first to move with no music.

“Everyone was watching me. But of course, (editor in chief) MJ (Day) and (associate editor) Darcie (Baum) came out and danced with me so I didn’t look so crazy on the beach by myself dancing,” Lawley shared. “That why I love the SI crew—they are willing to do it with you. That’s the best part. It’s so much more fun.”
