6 Unreal Photos of Adaora in Idyllic Namibia

The model traveled to Southern Africa for the SI Swimsuit Issue 10 years ago.

Adaora made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2012, heading to Australia for her rookie photoshoot. It was an experience that she thought “couldn’t be topped,” she said. But then she got the call that she would be posing for the magazine for a second year in a row. In ’13, she headed to Namibia with photographer Kayt Jones.

“It’s really cool to be back and working with everyone, just in a different place,” she said of the experience while in Southern Africa.

Getting to the set of the photoshoot took a lot of travel, but Adaora was more than up for the challenge. After all, “It’s an adventure,” she expressed. “But that’s what makes SI SI, right? We’re always pushing the envelope a little bit and taking risks. And that’s what makes it so exciting and so special.”

As in Australia, her risks and willingness to push the envelope more than paid off. She brought her good energy to set and took advantage of what she deemed “not your average job.”

For Adaora, working with SI Swimsuit was “challenging,” “unpredictable” and “fun.” And the photos certainly told the same story. Below are six of our favorites from her adventurous trip to Namibia.

Now through Nov. 1, 100% of SI Swimsuit’s portion of proceeds from cover prints purchased here will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is helping to support the people and places of Maui affected by the recent wildfires.
