The model’s SI Swimsuit Issue feature from last year is one of our favorites.

Hunter McGrady was discovered through SI Swimsuit’s model search program in 2017. That year, she participated in a body paint feature in Anguilla, where she worked with photographer Josie Clough and makeup artist Joanne Gair. She returned to the fold the following year and was featured in a unique “In Her Own Words” studio project with photographer Taylor Ballantyne.

McGrady was also featured in the magazine in 2019, ’20 and ’22, when she traveled to Costa Rica, Bali and Belize, respectively. The model and mom welcomed her first child, a son named Hudson, in June ’21, and returned to pose for the 2022 SI Swimsuit Issue just six months later.

“I want to put on a swimsuit no matter what my body looks like and show women who are out there that just because we’re moms, it doesn’t mean that we’re not sexy anymore,” she told SI Swimsuit during the magazine’s launch week celebrations last year. “It doesn’t mean that we are less than. Like we can (still) rock a swimsuit.”

Since then, McGrady has become a proud mom of two. She and her husband, Brian Keys, welcomed daughter Ava in March.

Below are eight of our favorite photos Yu Tsai captured of McGrady in Belize last year.
