8 Radiant Photos of Kelly Gale in Indonesia

The model posed for the 2017 SI Swimsuit Issue.

Kelly Gale was featured in the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2017 when she traveled to Sumba Island, Indonesia, to work with photographer James Macari.

The model—who was born and raised in Sweden—is also known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, and the year before she appeared in the SI Swimsuit Issue, she was featured in a music video for the Enrique Iglesias track, “Duele el Corazón.”

Today, she is engaged to actor Joel Kinnaman. Last year, the two were featured on the cover of Vogue Scandinavia’s August-September issue together. Gale recently announced an athleisure clothing collection with RS Sports, which is expected to launch in March.

“I’m really energetic and sporty and active and I like doing all the athletic poses,” Gale said of her SI Swimsuit photo shoot. “[I] did a really cool pose in the walkway [with] my legs on the railing. I like the bikini, I like the pose, I like everything. That one wasn’t easy, even if it looks easy.”

At the time, Gale described her SI Swimsuit photo shoot as “fun,” “a really big deal” and “super cool.”

“I think that gave me even more energy to go out there and kill it and take some really cool photos,” she said of status as a SI Swimsuit model.
