Danish professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is a three-time SI Swimsuit model. She made her debut with the issue in 2015, traveling to Captiva, Fla., for her rookie photoshoot. Alongside photographer Walter Iooss Jr., the 33-year-old made a statement on the beaches of the Sunshine State. 

In recent months, there has been an increased buzz around Wozniacki’s name—and for good reason. The professional tennis player has returned to her former sport after a three-year hiatus. In the interim, the former world No. 1 gave birth to two children, whom she shares with former NBA player David Lee.

She initially announced her retirement in early 2020, deciding that her time as a tennis professional had come to an end. But earlier this summer, she made a reversal of this decision—Wozniacki announced her official return to tennis in June and competed at the Canadian Open two months later.

Since, Wozniacki has made great strides on the court, making it all the way to the Round of 16 in the US Open—the last Grand Slam of the year—before falling to the eventual champion Coco Gauff. But her comeback has only just started, and the icon declared her intention to “come back even stronger” in an Instagram post following her US Open loss.
