They took two months to develop, but pics from the Katherine Webb–AJ McCarron wedding are finally here

EITHER AN embargowas lifted or the Kodak film was finally developed, but images from the July 12 nuptials of AJ McCarron and SI Swimsuit 2013 model Katherine Webb are finally out and about. If you recall, AJ proposed in late March, which gave the Webb family three-and-a-half months to plan a wedding befitting of a former Miss Alabama and her pro football player fiancé. [A little perspective: I, decidedly not a former Miss Anything and a cynic when it comes to all things formal and fancy (does it show?), had six months to plan my own comparatively low-key wedding and the stress that accompanied the process was a kind of stress I hope never to experience again.]

Point is, there's no way they could have pulled something so grand off in so little time, so I would have understood completely had they just gone with a BYOB barbecue in the park. Some white linens on the picnic tables, or maybe plastic red and white gingham to make for easy cleanup...

Katherine Webb in 2013: A retrospective

But something happened between the proposal and the wedding, and I can only assume it was the spontaneous arrival of Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. Despite the time constraints, the pictures below show an elegant affair replete with a custom gown, an enormous wedding party, a cake that was no doubt a direct descendent of the cake served at the royal wedding and a wedding band with so much sparkle, Katherine's five-carat engagement ring might develop an inferiority complex.

See what I mean below. (Pro-tip: If you are a man of modest means in a serious relationship with the kind of girl who has been "dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl," don't show her this post.)
