Pro surfer Alana Blanchard’s Christmas morning may have looked just a touch unconventional to us, but for her it was just another day in paradise (literally). Like many of us, the holiday was a time spent with family. But unlike the rest of us, that family time involved a variety of tropical water activities.

The athlete hit the water with her partner, fellow professional surfer Jack Freestone, 31, and their two young children. Dressed in a chic blue-and-cream patterned string bikini top and a pair of deep blue high-waisted bottoms, the 33-year-old took to a dock for an afternoon of jumping into the deep green waters alongside her kids. Later, in fitting form, the family of four hit the waves for an afternoon surf session.

“Our Christmas morning 💙,” she captioned a sweet Instagram reel that she shared from the weekend.

“😍,” professional snowboarder Hannah Teter gushed in the comments.

“Big envy!! Merry Christmas 🎅🏼🤶🎄,” another follower wrote of their tropical holiday experience.

“Spending Christmas on the Shore✨,” one wrote of the idyllic Hawaiian location.

“Need a suit like hers!” another said of her chic holiday swimwear style.

The sweet family certainly enjoyed their lovely tropical Christmas in their home of Hawai’i, and we have to say, we’re feeling a bit envious. For us, the holidays mean sweaters and evenings by the fire. And while we love the cozy environment, Blanchard is making us think we need to embrace a tropical holiday in the years to come.
