Angel Reese’s 5 Best SI Swim Pics From Los Angeles

The LSU basketball star nailed her photoshoot in California earlier this year.

When LSU basketball player Angel Reese posed for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, the 21-year-old 6'3" athlete was a total natural posing in front of photographer Yu Tsai’s lens.

Reese traveled to Los Angeles for her feature, in which she was captured in several bright and beautiful swimwear looks. The Maryland native got comfortable while on set quite quickly.

“I had on thong bathing suits and I didn’t think I was going to be comfortable, but [everyone] made me feel really comfortable,” she stated at the time. “I work out a lot. I embrace my body and who I am and every mark on my body. I probably feel the sexiest in a bathing suit.”

Since her SI Swimsuit feature in May, Reese has gone on to land the cover of Sports Illustrated alongside fellow LSU athlete Olivia Dunne, and the Bayou Barbie also landed an NIL partnership with Reebok. 

While the LSU women’s basketball season started earlier this month, Reese has been noticeably absent from the court of late. She was not present when LSU beat Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 17, and didn’t take the court during the Cayman Islands Classic this past weekend.

“Angel (Reese) was not in uniform tonight,” coach Kim Mulkey said after the 73-50 victory over the Lions. “Angel is a part of our basketball team and we hope to see her sooner than later.”

The reasoning for Reese’s absence is not clear, but we echo coach Mulkey’s sentiment. In the meantime, we’re throwing it back to a few of our favorite snaps from her SI Swimsuit feature.
