Supermodel Ashley Graham made history in 2017 as the first plus-size model on the cover of Vogue. The SI Swimsuit icon stars on the cover of September’s Vogue Germany issue, and the collection of earthy moody photos are phenomenal.

Graham “had the opportunity to swim in hot springs while wearing couture” during the photoshoot with Felicity Ingram. In one of her looks, the 35-year-old posed in a slinky mesh eggplant purple mini dress from Coach, featuring an asymmetrical ruffle train on one side. She was soaking wet from head to toe and leaned against rock formations next to a gorgeous waterfall.

In another pic, Maxim’s “Sexiest Woman Alive” floated in a lagoon with just parts of her body peeking above the surface.

“A SEPTEMBER VOGUE COVER!! Celebrating this season’s fashion in the most MAJOR way possible 🫶🏻,” the Nebraska native captioned her carousel of pics on Aug. 29. “This shoot fused both sides of my life: the granola and the glam. Although, I’m not sure if I recommend sliding down a mountain in couture…I am so grateful to have shared my story.”

The mom of three, who shares her boys Isaac, Roman and Malachi with husband Justin Ervin, was discovered at the age of 12.

"I was very aware that my thighs were rubbing together, that my belly fat was bulging over my jeans, that my arms were bigger than my girlfriends’," she said. “[My mother told me] ‘Be happy with what you are.’ It’s ingrained in me and I’ve kept it to myself, even when people have been telling me to lose weight.”
