‘Baywatch’ Actress Kelly Rohrbach Brought the Heat to the Crystal Blue Waters of Malta

She stunned in her SI Swimsuit photoshoot in the midst of the Mediterranean.

It might be a surprise to find out that Kelly Rohrbach’s 2015 SI Swimsuit debut was the first time that she had ever posed for a modeling gig. From the looks of the outstanding photos, you might never guess that she hadn’t posed in front of the camera professionally before.

Part of the reason that she was such a natural in front of Yu Tsai’s lens was perhaps her work as an actress and, particularly, her handful of small roles in popular TV shows like Two and a Half Men and Rizzoli & Isles. Though not modeling work, the roles gave her the chance to find comfort in front of a camera, and helped prepare her for her breakout role in the 2017 film Baywatch.

Rohrbach made such an impression with the SI Swimsuit team that she earned Rookie of the Year honors and was invited back for a second consecutive feature in 2016. That year, she traveled to Malta with photographer Ben Watts, posing in front of the deep blue waters and beautiful cityscape of the Mediterranean country.

It was an opportunity that she “was really excited” for. After all, “the Mediterranean is beautiful,” she said. “I could tell how special this shoot was gonna be.”

While some of the spots where they stopped to capture photos were unconventional, Ben Watts worked his magic and curated a fantastic series of snaps. We couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out. Below are a few of the lovely photos from the trip.
