Brooklyn Decker first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2006, when her photoshoot in Colombia earned her Rookie of the Year honors. The model returned to the fold each of the five years to follow, traveling both stateside and across the world with the brand. She’s posed for the annual issue everywhere from Arizona to Israel, and even participated in a bodypaint feature in Grenada.

Decker landed the cover of the 2010 SI Swimsuit Issue after her feature in the Maldives with photographer Walter Iooss Jr., an opportunity that she indicated was life-changing.

“To be on the cover, even if someone doesn’t buy it, they’re gonna see your name, so even if they choose not to buy it... it’s just that instant face recognition,” she said of her cover girl moment.

Today, the 36-year-old is a proud mom of two. She and her husband, 41-year-old former tennis pro Andy Roddick, share a son named Hank and a daughter, Stevie. Decker, who was featured in the 2014 magazine alongside fellow brand legends for the 50th anniversary issue, has also branched out into acting. She’s best known for her roles in Just Go With It and Grace and Frankie.

Sports Illustrated is one of the few clients that really puts a face with the name of the girls,” Decker added of the publication. “They put profiles with the girls, they get you on camera, and it’s just they really want their readers to know who the models are. They want people to identify with them.”
