Busy Philipps Channels ‘Mean Girls’ Energy in Pink High-Waisted Bikini

The actress referenced her forthcoming project while sunbathing.

Actress Busy Philipps recently spent some time soaking up the sun prior to the holidays, and shared a bright and beautiful bikini pic with her 2.4 million Instagram followers as proof.

The Girls5eva star sprawled out in a shady spot in a pretty in pink swimwear look from head to toe. Philipps opted for a mismatched bikini top and high-waisted bottoms in a vivid hue, which she accented with a pair of pink sunglasses. The book Death Valley by Melissa Broder was laid out across one hip, and Philipps accessorized with a crystal necklace. 

“On Wednesdays, you know what we do,” she wrote in her caption, referencing the classic Mean Girls line.

Philipps stars in the forthcoming Mean Girls musical-comedy as Mrs. George, along with Reneé Rapp (Regina George), Angourie Rice (Cady Heron), Jenna Fischer (Ms. Heron) and Tina Fey (Ms. Norbury).

“💅🏼🩷,” the official Mean Girls IG account commented. 

“YES BUSY 🩷🩷,” a fan gushed.

“You’re a cool mom 💋🩷💄💁🏼‍♀️,” someone else added.

Mean Girls hits theaters on Jan. 12, and the Tina Fay screenplay is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, which also starred Rapp. When she was a featured guest on On with Mario Lopez this spring, Philipps was asked whether or not she’ll be showing off her pipes in the forthcoming film.

“I’m gonna say this, Mrs. George doesn’t really have a song, but perhaps there’s a little singing, a little dancing, but it’s not the showcase that like Girls5eva is,” she teased. “So if you really wanna see me sing, you gotta watch the TV show.”
