In the midst of a game of giant Jenga with DJ XANDRA at Miami Swim Week, Camille Kostek stopped to reflect on her favorite look from her 2023 SI Swimsuit photoshoot with photographer James Macari in the Dominican Republic.

“Are you ready? We’re about to get deep,” XANDRA joked. “Which swimsuit was your favorite from your shoot this year?”

After taking a moment to think, the 2019 SI Swim cover model was confident in her response. “My theme on my shoot was Barbiecore,” she said, and her favorite look was right on theme.

“It was the color of your outfit,” she said pointing to XANDRA’s hot pink look. “It was a one-piece with black trim, and I wore these vintage Chanel earrings. It was a look like I’ve never done in the magazine before.”

In 2018, Kostek made her debut with the magazine in Belize. She’s made an appearance in the five subsequent issues since then, hopping around from set to tropical set with the SI Swimsuit team.

Her most recent photoshoot successfully took on the current Barbie-like trend, and Kostek wore a hot pink bodycon dress with rose detailing for the conversation with XANDRA in Miami as a tribute to the fun theme.
