Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Ariel Meredith in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Cinco de Mayo is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a little flashback to 2009 and our days in Mexico with the one and only Ariel Meredith?

Shot by Matt Jones on the beaches of Riviera Maya, Mexico, Ariel looked absolutely radiant during her rookie SI Swimsuit shoot. Ariel was joined by now SI Swimsuit alums Melissa Haro, Jessica Hart and Kim Cloutier in an in-magazine spread which encouraged fans to "surrender [themselves] to the new conquistadoras, who stormed this lush coastal paradise and, not surprisingly, encountered little resistance."

We'll gladly be surrendering ourselves to some of Mexico's greatest culinary gifts tonight—tacos and margs, anyone? So go ahead and indulge in Ariel's unforgettable images from the land of our neighbors south of the border; it'll be the sexiest pre-game you could ever enjoy. Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone!
