Christie Brinkley Celebrates National Daughters Day With SI Swimsuit Family Throwback

National Daughters Day was on Monday, Sept. 25, and model Christie Brinkley honored the occasion by throwing it back to a few snaps from her SI Swimsuit feature with both of her girls. 

In 2017, the legendary model traveled to Turks and Caicos for a special photoshoot with her daughters. Sailor Brinkley Cook, 25, and Alexa Ray Joel, 37, joined their mother to pose in front of Emmanuelle Hauguel’s lens with stunning results. 

Though Brinkley’s post came two days after the national holiday, she gushed about her daughters and shared a selection of snaps from their photoshoot. Brinkley donned a mesh black one-piece, while Brinkley Cook modeled a string black bikini and Joel opted for an off-the-shoulder bikini with a lace-up bust. The mother-daughter trio were captured in various poses as they laughed and smiled with gorgeous blue water in the backdrop.

“On This Happy #nationaldaughtersday Im grateful for my daughters @alexarayjoel and @sailorbrinkleycook,” Brinkley wrote in her caption. “Ones a Betty and ones a Veronica but they get along like salt and pepper and they definitely spice up my life with their many passions, and talents! One loves the Sun and one loves the Moon and they make me I feel like the luckiest mom in the Galaxy! Photos from our unforgettable bonding shoot with @si_swimsuit wonderful memories. 💛✨🌟✨🌝✨✨✨✨✨.”

“Love You So… 🕊️💫✨,” Joel commented on her mother’s post.

“You three powerful talented women,” Irena Medavoy wrote. “Love you all.”

“Sailor’s got your smile 😊,” someone else observed.

“Love seeing @alexarayjoel grow into her own comfortable, confident and beautiful self. 💕,” another fan noted. 

A year after their family photoshoot, Brinkley Cook joined SI Swimsuit as a rookie for the 2018 issue. Her mother is an icon in the SI Swimsuit world, as she’s appeared in 10 issues over the years, including three consecutive covers.
