Megan Rapinoe is competing in the World Cup, as well as her final professional soccer season, as the 38-year-old announced her retirement last month. The NWSL star, who plays for OL Reign, won gold with the national team in ’12 at the London Summer Olympics. She also led the USWNT to championships at the ’15 and ’19 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The team is hoping to secure a third win at the tournament in New Zealand and Australia right now.

The pro athlete was featured in the 2019 SI Swimsuit Issue and became the magazine’s first openly gay model. She was also named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year. Rapinoe, who is engaged to retired WNBA star Sue Bird, is the co-owner of media production company, A Touch More.
