Flashback Friday: Brooklyn Decker sizzles in 2010 Maldives cover shoot
Brooklyn Decker shared a precious photo on Instagram yesterday of herself and three-month-old son Hank in matching flannels. Brooklyn admits the photo is a little hokey, saying in the caption: "Never thought I'd be the "matching mommy" type. Alas, it brings me so much joy I can't deny myself the cheesy pleasure."
The post also reminded us of one of SI’s most popular shoots - Brooklyn Decker's 2010 cover from The Maldives. At the time, Brooklyn was in her fifth year as a SI Swimsuit model and quickly becoming one of the most popular models on the planet. The photos were shot by the legendary Walter Iooss and the results are stunning. Even if the cover girl had the jitters.
"No matter how much I know the crew I still get nervous," she said during the shoot. "And I guess it’s because SI means so much to me. And the shoot means so much … But I definitely feel like I’ve grown into myself so much more when I was 18. I mean, I was fresh out of high school. It’s a very different story now."
What a difference five years make. Perhaps it's time for SI to create its first flannel bikini to lure Brooklyn out of retirement!
