After winning the NWSL Championship with her NJ/NY Gotham FC teammates earlier this month and subsequently hanging up her soccer cleats for good, it appears that Ali Krieger is easing into retirement with some well-deserved R&R.

The Olympic athlete shared a duo of Instagram pics from her tropical trip to the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico on Nov. 27. In the snapshots, Krieger stood in front of a brick wall in a vibrant green one-piece swimsuit that perfectly showcased her athletic figure. The 39-year-old mom of two peered into the camera lens in the first snapshot and smiled as sunlight swept across her face in the second. Krieger accessorized her beach-ready ensemble with a patterned straw hat and a pair of Birkenstock sandals.

“Retirement life activated. 🏝️☀️🍹,” the two-time World Cup champion wrote in her caption.

Tons of the athlete’s 940,000 followers piped in to the comments section with praise.

“retirement looks good on youuu 😍🔥,” fellow soccer star Catarina Macario gushed.

“This is what retirement is like...hhmmmmm,” Krieger’s former Gotham FC teammate Kristen Edmonds teased.

“Math has never been my thing but I know you + retirement = 8,” Angel City FC defender Merritt Mathias quipped.

“Maybe a warning. Some of us have heart conditions. 🫠,” another follower joked.

As Krieger recently went through a public split with her ex-wife, Ashlyn Harris, several fans also took to the comments section with some not-so-subtle remarks.

“DUDE IMAGINE FUMBLING ALI HOLY MOTHER OF GOD,” one person wrote.

“Lately she’s been dressing for revenge 🫦,” someone else added.
