Genevieve Morton made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2010 after posing for photographer Walter Chin in Palm Springs, Calif. She appeared in the SI Swimsuit Issue each year through 2015.

While her travels with the publication took her everywhere from Fiji to Australia to Switzerland, the South African model’s most recent feature was extra special. Morton worked with photographer Yu Tsai and artist Joanne Gair for a unique body paint spread in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands in ’15.

Morton has called the body paint photo shoot her favorite with the franchise, while her idyllic feature in Switzerland came in as her No. 2 fave.

“I never did body paint in my rookie year and I think most of the girls do it their rookie year. … So I waited like six years to get into body paint, so by the time I did it, I was so excited I couldn’t contain myself,” Morton gushed on a segment of SI Now. “But it was O.K., I mean it was an experience in and of itself and I don’t think it’s every day that you get body painted.”

In addition to modeling, the 36-year-old fitness enthusiast is the founder of Morton Media Management. Her company helps to empower artists, models and photographers through their art.

Below are eight of our favorite images from Morton’s body paint feature with visual artists Tsai and Gair in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
