Genevieve Morton is a household name here at SI Swimsuit. The model was featured in six consecutive magazine issues, from her 2010 debut with Walter Chin in Palm Springs, Calif., to her most recent appearance in 2015 when she traveled to St. John with photographer Yu Tsai.

The South Africa native also posed for the brand on more exotic beaches, including in Fiji, Australia, Zambia and Switzerland. She also participated in a unique and stunning bodypaint photoshoot, which she has referred to as her favorite feature with the brand. In 2012, the 37-year-old landed the cover of the South African GQ Soccer World Cup issue.

“Going to school aside from our modeling was really difficult to me. I decided to do it just because people wouldn’t take me seriously and I’d go to a dinner and have a fantastic opinion about something and everyone would be like ‘just shut up you’re like a stupid model, just go away,’” she shared. “So I decided to start studying. One year, when I shot [in] Fiji, I was actually doing my assignments during the lunch break of the shoot and trying to get the Internet to work on the island. It was very challenging, but it’s been very rewarding.”

Morton compared training for her first photoshoot to training for the “model Olympics,” and revealed she worked with a professional fitness coach to learn the “tricks of the trade that you might not know.

Below are seven jaw-dropping photos from her 2013 photoshoot with James Macari in Hayman Island, Australia.
