Hailey Clauson Rocks Baywatch-Inspired Plunging Red One-Piece, Stuns on the Cover of ‘Ocean Drive’
Hailey Clauson is no stranger to starring on the cover of iconic magazines while totally nailing her photoshoots. The seven-time SI Swimsuit model, who appeared on the front of the 2016 issue, is featured on the cover of Ocean Drive’s September issue. The 28-year-old rocked a gorgeous, plunging Baywatch-inspired one-piece and was captured by her longtime boyfriend, photographer Jullien Herrera. Clauson did her own glam for the feature and was in charge of creative direction. Her hair was slicked back and she accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a dainty bangle.
“Excited to share my new cover for @oceandrivemag shot by @jullienandhailey,” she captioned an Instagram post announcing the cover. “✨Shot, styled, hmu, post production: @jullienandhailey Editor: @paigepulichino.”
The California native began modeling at the age of 13 and made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2015 in Kauai, Hawai’i, with photographer Yu Tsai. The model traveled to the Dominican Republic with James Macari for the 2023 issue earlier this year.
“I feel like I’ve grown up with Sports Illustrated,” she told Ocean Drive. “The first time I shot with them was when I was 18, and that was kind of a transitional stage I was in when I was no longer that typical runway girl, and I was kind of lost and didn’t have a place in the industry. Sports Illustrated took me under their wing and relaunched my career and showed me a whole new way. It’s been so much fun working with them over the years. They’re the coolest crew, and we get to go to the most amazing places. I’ve made so many friends, and I would say the magazine has changed the industry’s standards.”
Clauson is also the co-owner and creative director of boutique modeling agency, Margaux the Agency, where she is focused on changing what is considered modeling industry standards.
